Mst3k. Nothing new there...just a reawakening. I've even learned to love Mike. In a strictly platonic way of course.

The Office. In my opinion...the best show on tv right now. period.

30 Rock. another excellent show...just sarcastic enough to amuse me.

Glen Hansard. The lead singer from the Irish band The Frames, and the star of the film Once. Haven't seen the film...but love the music. his voice is a mix of Cat Stevens and Jeff Buckley

I'm back.

...not dead. Amazingly enough.

anyhooo....

i'm going to try and keep up with my journaling. again. i always attempt, and never succeed. but i'll give it another try. i need to keep up on my thoughts etc, because if i don't, the ol head just may explode. that wouldn't be pretty.

i think tomorrow, i'm going to finally delete my other lj account. the one with all the bad memories and baggage attached to it. yep...that one. i think i've had it for something like 6 years. whatever. a clean break is what i need. absolutely.

EDIT: deleted the other journal tonight. feels weird. but a good weird i guess.

It's been forever.

Well tomorrow is the 4th of July. The people next door....the loud obnoxious ones with the Doberman that never shuts up....are preparing for a party. just wonderful. and looking at how many tables and chairs they're setting up...it's bound to be full of more obnoxious, loud and more then likely DRUNK people. Just fucking great. i'm not going to be able to enjoy the holiday, because these fucktards are going to be making so much damn noise. Plus, there's the parking situation. there is hardly enough room for the people who live on our street to park...let alone all these freaks that will be here tomorrow. Just how i wanted to spend my holiday...locked inside my house with all the windows closed because of the asshats next door. and our fucking wonderful landlord will do absolutely NOTHING about them.

Sorry for the rant, but i swear to God, a bigger group of ignorant, obnoxious assholes, i have yet to run into.

Bizarre goings on

So, the cops were at both of our neighbors houses tonight within about 5mins of each other. it was so weird, i was beginning to think they much be looking for someone, and were going to come over here too. but they didn't. odd.

so, things have been ok i guess. work has been weird as well. $6,000 came up missing at work yesterday, and somehow, L has managed to talk her way out of it again. she has already been written up a bunch of times, and i'm starting to really wonder what it is exactly that you need to do, to get fired from this place. you'd think that a retail business would be interested in missing money. guess not.

been finding myself getting into the whole mindfreak thing again. i'm actually tempted to buy a hoodie from his website...but $55 is a bit steep.

i'm working back-up csr tomorrow. i fucking hate it.

this past week has sucked for the most part. i've been working like mad, and wanting so badly to either leave early, or call out...but i don't 1) because i need the $$ & 2) to avoid the shit storm from Charlene. but i feel like i'm being run into the ground.

watched two really good movies tonight...and one crappy one.

Good: Notes On A Scandal
WolfCreek

Bad: Unrest

haven't been in any kind of a mood to do vids on yt. i guess that's good, since i was obsessing a lil too much over that place. have also been having some bad dreams lately which i can't seem to shake.

crystal says carolyn will lend us the $$ to have the ramp built, and then i can pay her back a little at a time. haven't said yes yet, since i don't know how to without sounding pathetic.

i'm tired. just very, very tired.

Book 12 Review

  • May. 29th, 2007 at 7:37 PM
David Cook - Slide

Book # 12: Twilight

Author: Stephenie Meyer

Pages: 499

Genre: Thriller/Supernatural Romance

Rating: C+

Description: Headstrong, sun-loving,17-year-old Bella declines her mom's invitation to move to Florida, and instead reluctantly opts to move to her dad's cabin in thedreary, rainy town of Forks, WA. She becomes intrigued with EdwardCullen, a distant, stylish, and disarmingly handsome senior, who isalso a vampire. When he reveals that his specific clan hunts wildlifeinstead of humans, Bella deduces that she is safe from hisblood-sucking instincts and therefore free to fall hopelessly in lovewith him. The feeling is mutual, and the resulting volatile romancesmolders as they attempt to hide Edward's identity from her familyand the rest of the school.

Review: Having heard and read countlessglowing reviews for this book, i decided to give it a try, considering i've long been a fan of vampire fiction. Unfortunately, this book ended up being more of a sickeningly sweet romance, then athriller involving the supernatural. Reading it, it was overlyobvious that, unlike what some other reviewers had said...this bookis in fact geared toward the teen set. The plot was just too over-topcornball for me. How many times do we really need to read the Bellacharacter describe how perfect and beautiful her sulky beau, Edward,is? In the end, i was left incredibly disappointed.

American Idol Rant

Now, let me first say i knew going into tonight's performance show that Blake had little to no chance of winning. but when i saw the 'winning' song performance, i heard the door slam on any hopes he had of pulling it off. This so called winning song was 1) absolutely sickeningly sweet and awful. 2) in other words...the song, which would be the last impression the viewers had of them, would be INCREDIBLY, OBSCENELY slanted in Jordin's favor. as if i needed further proof that show is fucking rigged. My dad's argument to this, is that if it was, Melinda would still be in the competition. I disagree...the fact that Melinda is gone proves my point...she would have been far harder to beat then Blake.

I have lost any respect that i ever had for the producers of this show.

Not, that Jordin didn't out-perform Blake...she did. but how could she NOT given what she had to work with. That song would have never been something that Blake would have chosen to sing, or in fact, anyone else would have picked for him. i just think it's completely unfair that he wasn't given a song more suited to his style...the way they seemed to cater to Jordin. fair is fair.

According to DialIdol, Jordin is beating Blake by about 30%. It's a joke. And i'm annoyed to the point, that if i wasn't watching the show with my dad, as bonding time...i would give it up for life.

Better day

So, my dad spoke to Mrs Welcome, and she told him not to worry about the SS letter...for us to just send the stuff when we have it. Thankfully the letter came today.

Another annoying day at work. i understand, i'm basically getting paid to stand around. But it's so incredibly boring most of the time. and then the customers are a pain in the ass as well. and that aspect is going to get worse since the aliens will be descending this weekend.

dad says he's feeling a little blue. i wish i had a way of cheering him up. i feel helpless. & still worried about the Medicaid thing.

This was my first sunday working in a while, what with days off and vacation. i missed the $, but not the bullshit. it was a royal pain in the ass. but then i'm feeling back in the swing of things, unfortunately. Same annoying customers...same annoying employees. what else is new? not much.

really happy i got the chance to talk to Susan last night. makes me realize how much i miss having friends to talk to on a regular basis. still freaked out a little about the whole greg encounter. it was just unbelievable that he actually thought he could swing right into some cyber sex with me, after everything that's happened. no wonder i hate me. no, i don't hate men. i hate people in general. there's a difference. i'm an equal opportunity hater.
